This is a great story not just because a rubber ducky filled Chinese container went overboard but that they're still washing up on shore around the world so many years later. I never heard about it so thank you for sharing it. My memories of floating plastic ducks is limited to the set I had for my nieces to play with in the bath tub.
No kidding?! They are still floating around our oceans all these years? haha
ReplyDeleteRubber duckies will never die. Every generation of kids wants one (or many!).
Chag sameach, Yael!
ReplyDeleteChag Sameach Dina.
ReplyDeleteThe duckies went from hong kong and you can see in the map the long and lonly journy that they are still doing.
I never heard about 'the long voyage of the rubber duckies'. Long live the rubber duckies!!! Love that story Yael:)
ReplyDeleteI shuold write more about it. I thought it is a known story.
ReplyDeleteDuring our annual village carnival we have yellow duck racing on the river. The child whose duck is first gets a prize.

DeleteI felt sorry for them. I forgot they are rubber ducks,
ReplyDeleteSort of like the legend of the Wandering Jew . . .
