Stereotypes

My son just texted me from Helsinki air port that there is no food in the flight and he will be very happy if I shall buy him something to eat when I shall meet him in the airport tonight.
OK, I am a Jewish mother and all stereotypes about me/us are true.now I am so worried about my youngest hungry son who will not eat for 4 hours. (or more if he left early for the train to Helsinki and did not eat before).

In my daughter's house no one is hungry. there are wonderful cakes that she made for the grandson class party,

  8. Yummy looking cakes and so beautifully decorated!
It appears many flights no longer offer food, or charge extra if they do. I usually buy a chocolate bar [such as a picnic bar which has peanuts as well as chocolate] and it can last many hours on a long flight.

  9. By the time the cabin crew get have done their lifejacket demonstration, dished out their duty free catalogues, sold their scratch cards, distributed the newspapers, found in-flight-movie-earplugs, gone back and forth drinks trolley, sold their perfumes and cigarettes, collected all the rubbish, made all their announcements, I don't suppose there's time for anything as mundane as eating.

  11. The price of airport food is high enough. On the plane it simply climbs higher. You can take an empty plastic bottle and fill it with water in the toilets but that's really a bit ugh!. Best to take your own sandwiches, although there's always a risk they could take them off you at security if they didn't like the look of them I suppose. I'm really pleased for the band from Finland. I hope they get a good result in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest.

  12. He thought that he will have more time in Helsinki airport but the train was late so he did not have the time. When ever he comes back home it is the same story because he always waits for the last minuts. It is my fault of course because when my children were young we were always early every were because i hate to be late.Always look for the mother's resposibility.
