I know how boring it is for other people
to read about and see other's grandchild's photos.
But for me the last 48 hours were a joy.
I did not speak to grown up person for 48 hours. It was only me and the 3 of them.
every time I let them eat some sweets the 6 years boy said: "how spoiled we are".
it is not boring at all. Good to hear that you had such a lovely time with them. I was " babysitting" last night, but they were asleep for most of the time. ( aged 4 and 2) I was there for bath and bedtime and read to the 4 yr old. It was a book about witches and when I put the light out she started saying " there is a witch on the wall" in a scared sounding voice. It was the shadow of the night light cast on the wall above the slightly open door making a pointed hat shape! Luckily she went straight to sleep so no more witches on the wall!
ReplyDeleteThank you Frances . The same thing with some creatures on the wall happened to us and it was also some light from a mirror.
ReplyDeleteI like the "how spoiled we are" bit, the quiet observation, and of course the paints and pens and the playing around in the high-heels. All very natural.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you like it Rachel.
ReplyDeleteI adore my grandchildren, and I'm sure you do yours. It's normal.
ReplyDeleteYour granchildren are realy adoreable from what I saw.
DeleteSeeing children dressing up in high heels brings back memories of the time [when I was about 7] of dressing up and knocking at the door. My mother played the part well and invited me in for cordial and a cake! Its so lovely to see children playing imaginative games ... not electronic!!
ReplyDeleteThat 's a nice story Shirley.
DeleteIt looks like the kids had as much fun as you did.
ReplyDeleteWe always have Dina.
DeleteThese kind of photos are what blogging is all about
