More of the same

It will probably take a few more days in this round. until next time. It's more of the same thing that was already here. I think a thousand times if this is the right time to get in the shower because no one wants to get caught during an alarm in the middle of the shower. I am not going to the gardening center because if the alarm catches me on the way and I have to stop and lie on the ground I am not sure I will be able to get up easily. I of course can not travel to the grandchildren because they are right in the range of the missiles and it is dangerous. There was still no alarm here and if it will be I am not sure that the minute and a half I am supposed to get to the shelter would be enough for me. I do not remember when I last ran and probably I am no longer as fast as I used to be.

  1. There is a lot of rhetoric coming out of the mouths of the world leaders and the UN but that doesn't stop anything. I think.of you all the time Yael.

  2. Thank you Rachel. What is always so hard and painful in these situations is that the interpretation is always distorted. As if there is a balance on the sides. We never started firing missiles at anyone.

  3. Sadly news is too often one sided. No matter what it says it is people who are affected. Stay safe ... don't go anywhere unless it is urgent, though whether even staying at home is ultimately safe is a moot point.

    1. Thanks Shirley. You have always been here to encourage me. From a distance it always looks scarier than it looks up close. Although it's scary enough

  5. It is a 70 year-old problem perpetuated by despicable politicians and it is the ordinary men, women and children who suffer the most.

  7. Thanks Barbara. If I had seen it on the news of another country I would also have felt very frightened. Luckily our human mechanism also knows how to deal with such situations and most of the time I do not feel anxious. My life seems to be going on as usual, but very carefully.

  10. I think of you often, Yael. Your life is too circumscribed.

  11. I hear that your ground forces are ready to go into Gaza. It would be better for all concerned if they took control of Gaza, installed a proper government, and cleared the place of terrorists. Whether this is possible or not; I have no idea. I feel so sorry for all the 'ordinary' Palestinians; and of course for all Israelis.
