The orange stripes on the TV show us exactly where the missiles will fall in a little while and who should hurry up and enter a protected place. I am 50 km from Gaza so I have a minute and a half to find shelter. I have no protected room and all I have left is to rely on miracles. My grandchildren are 45 km from Gaza and have 45 seconds until the missile falls. They have been sleeping for two nights in the protected room and of course do not go to school.
My daughter sent me pictures from the protected room, she and the cats and children are busy with their own. A lot of missiles fell around them yesterday.
There are also 2 dogs in the room.
ReplyDeleteI hope they soon stop. Thinking of you Yael.
ReplyDeleteI hope so too. It will stop and start again sometime.

ReplyDeleteThanks Shirley. Like many things in life it's just a matter of luck.

ReplyDeleteIt's something like Russian roulette, it's hard to know what it will be.Thank you JajCee.
DeleteI have been thinking of you and your family..I hope that you will be safe. I have just read a novel ( for book club)..."Mornings in Jenin", that had graphic descriptions of killing on both sides going back to the early 40s.I didn't really enjoy it! I can't believe that it is still going on so many years later. Be safe. x
ReplyDeleteThank you Frances.
DeleteI too have been thinking of you and your family, dear Yael. I cannot imagine what it must be like for you all. I hope it will pass soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you Tom.
ReplyDeleteThe reader from Leipzig, I would be happy if you leave a comment. My roots are there.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you Yael. You must be so worried about your daughter and grandchildren. x
ReplyDeleteOne really does wish that Hamas would spend their money on health and education, rather than on rockets. Of course Israel has to return fire, but if the rockets weren't sent in the first place there would be no need. I hear today that some of the Hamas rockets are very cheaply made and are falling short on their own people. What a way to run a country. Stay safe!!
ReplyDeleteThinking of you Yael and asking for all those who have loved you, since the beginning of time, are with you and protect you.

ReplyDeleteHamas promised a barrage of rockets at 6 p.m. I'm waiting. Previous times they were on time. But there were 500 rockets during the day to different localities.
ReplyDeleteYou have been in my thoughts too Yael. We see some of this on our news and I always hope for safety for you and your family. No one should have to live like that. I pray you stay safe.
