I never promised you a rose garden

Those are the roses in my garden. I did not plant them. They were here when I  came to live in my very small house many years ago.Some of them have the smell of the "real roses" that we don't find any more.People ask me sometimes if they can take one or more from the flowers and i say why not. I like them in the garden but I can understand the desire to have this beautiful flower inside the house. A day before yesterday was our Remembrance day and I noticed that more people asked me for the red roses.

After the holidays

The day after Passover was rainy with thunder storms.Dogs And children like to stand behind the window and watch the world outside.

How to set a table for Pessah (Passover)

They wanted to celebrate Pessah again, they said you bring only the food and we shall arrange every  thing else. and so they did, even our names on the plats. (it is written "Yael grandmother").

How do I look

Few days ago they drew (paint? i could not find the right word) my face. he is 6 she is 5. He came every time and looked at my face closely than he went  back to the picture and added more wrinkles. I was so happy that he covered them in the end with a lot of brown.

(also my hair is different, after Rachel asked i feel i have to explain:)

Passover

Gnomes

I love my gnomes i bought them 40 years ago in Germany and have them with me were ever i lived. Only yesterday a young woman who owns the second hand shop told me that they are collector's items because they are numbered, so i took them from the garden and put them on the window in case the people from Le front pour la liberation des nains de la jardin will come. (i heard that they freed a lot of gnomes years ago but no one came to take them home).

election day

Today is the election day and those are all the letters that we have to choose from.We have a very bad system here with all the small parties that comes and go and that why we have election every 2 years . We should have less small parties here .

Yesterday we visited a near by farm .There are some new born animals there that my granddaughter loves and they love her.

Today can be a life changing day or not. We like to think that we can control most of the things, but I think that there are so many things that we can not so it does not really matter who will win today.(as long as America is on our side:)).
