It took the snake catcher 35 or 45 minutes to come to my house. It was almost midnight when i hared strange noises near my door, Edmund the cat was not quiet also,he was bitten by a snake last year and we saved him,but this time i knew that the snake is big, very big.So i googled a snake catcher and after less than an hour the snake went away with the young man and with 350 euro.It is a lot of money, but you never argue with a snake catcher in the middle of the night.
Eeek! Do you know the name of the snake? (I don't mean Harry, or something like that).
ReplyDeleteMr Google says it is Viper.
ReplyDeleteOi va voi Yael! What a huge poisonous Palestinian Viper!! Thank God you and the cat are OK. (But what a high fee, wow.)
ReplyDelete'Tis the season for snakes, I guess. I'm going to watch where I step.
May this be your last snake. Was it OUTSIDE your door, I hope?
Watch your steps Dina, in your area there are a lot of other kinds of snakes, the snake was out side, but near my door.

ReplyDeleteOy! I didn't realize you had to contend with snakes, and poisonous ones at that.
ReplyDeleteYou see Shawn, as if it is not enough with the other trobels that we have here...
DeleteThat is so scary! We have some large snakes in our area of France, the Western Whip Snake, but they are not poisonous.
ReplyDeleteThat one is very poisonous especialy in this time of the year.
DeleteThat doesn't look good, except for the capture and removal part.
ReplyDeleteNow i am more careful at nights when i go out.
DeleteWow!!! So glad he was able to come quickly and get the job done. Also glad you got pictures of it.
ReplyDeleteIt was 40 long minutes that night.
DeleteYael, my hat is off to you. If there had been a snake that size (in my house!!) I would probably be in the hospital recovering from a heart attack. I might have to move.
ReplyDeleteHoly moly. And I thought the tiny little mildly poisonous snake my friend saw on a wooded path the other day was bad!
I was lucky that my son is here now and he watched it untill the man came, i thought if i write about it may be Cro will visit my blog, but he never came.
Delete-glad the snake catcher came, whatever the price!
ReplyDeleteI'd say he earns every penny! What a terrible job!
DeleteIt was too much i think, but i did not argue with him.
DeleteI am glad the snake catcher came and was able to catch it.
ReplyDeleteMe too Rachel.
DeleteLord! That's one nasty looking snake! You need a flock of free range chickens! They will set about a snake and if they can kill him, they will eat him. I don't know though, even my flock might have run for it if that monster showed up!
ReplyDeleteIam thinking about chikens, but my yard is too open. I shall see.
ReplyDeleteMother nature was showing her really stupid side when she invented snakes. €350 was a bargain; I hate snakes.
ReplyDeleteMe too. i am so happy to see you here again, i know it is a boring blog but i keep it to realy bad times...
ReplyDeleteI dislike snakes immensely!!! The snake catcher was just the right person to call and at the end of the day I reckon the cost was worth it; at least you can sleep knowing it is no longer there.
ReplyDeleteHe also chacked the garden for more, but i think that others can come any time,So i am more careful now.
ReplyDeleteYael, I was thinking of your grandchildren. Can you imagine if they had been playing outside with that snake around! I'm glad you caught it. Keep safe.
ReplyDeleteGreetings Maria x
Gladly they were not here at that time, their parents went to day to Verona to Adell's show, so i am going to stay with them at their home.Thank you Maria for thinking about us:)
