I removed the new post because I acted a little against my principle of not posting the pictures with the faces of my grandchildren. I just wanted to tell about the strange way they have been learning for almost a year. But there's nothing special about it, that's what everyone in the world does now. I know the post stays on the list of posts for a while so the first ones can still see the pictures. Happy weekend everyone.
Happy weekend to you Yael.
ReplyDeleteHope that you stay safe and well x
I do occasionally post pictures of my smaller grandsons; I'm not sure if it's wise or not. I've only ever had one bad experience, but that was due to my own ignorance at the time. It was very nasty.
ReplyDeleteHappy days Yael, and thank you although I have not seen the photos. As Jaycee says, happy weekend and stay safe and well. Good to see you here.
ReplyDeleteThe kids are getting used to their new way of learning. Here they went to school for one week and now back home again doing online lessons. There is no camera so all they have to is sign on in the morning and their teacher really doesnt know half the time if they are listening or not. Tests are easy because they can all the help they want from books or the internet. Its a weird school year!!
ReplyDeleteI didnt see the photos but can imagine its a lot like here for your granchildren.
I watch your temperatures on tv weather news. Looks nice and warm without being too hot. I wonder if you will get our ice storm that we have this weekend
Sad to say that I think it is wise to not post pictures of friends and family. Sad, because you have such cute grandchildren! Sad also that schoolchildren are missing out on so much - a year in the life of an 8 year-old is like 10 to us.
ReplyDeleteThank you all my good friends, I'll post latter and tell you more about life here.
ReplyDeleteSo many changes in this past year for everyone, especially the children. I did not see your earlier post but I am happy to see you posting! I hope you are well. Have a wonderful weekend Yael!
ReplyDeleteThank you Bonnie.
ReplyDeleteI didn't see your earlier post but agree it is wise to not publish photos of children, or indeed any family members. Schooling, work, in fact everything has been turned upside down over the past year ... however we will surive! Lovely to see your post.
ReplyDeleteTalked to my daughter about school just today. I have one grandchild still in school. We talked about how important school is to children, both academically and socially. We are happy she is back in school.
ReplyDeleteThank you Shirley and Joanne, in fact the studies here are in the Zoom/, the last time they were at school was ten months ago, at the moment it does not seem to be changing.
ReplyDeleteNice to see a post from you again. Sorry I missed the photos! I would love to hear more about what is happening in your country. I have not seen my older grandchildren for months. They are 8 and 10 and I used to get them from school twice a week, so it is very different for me!

ReplyDeleteI do understand so well your wish to show us the photos, and I would love to see them - but I also understand the reason why you don't.
ReplyDeleteI am strictly forbidden to post any picture of the lovely triplets -- and I have to respect that..
Haven't seen them since February last year -- there they were babies - now they can run around and start to speak.
Yes, I think it is a very difficult phase for children an youngster at this time - here they start opening some schools again - but the sad way our vaccination plans are not fulfilled makes it a risk. I adore your countries' foresight!
I Ecco Britta xxx
ReplyDeleteWith vaccines rolling out quickly hopefully children will have the option to get back in to the classroom. Do your grandchildren have a preference for schooling? I hear some feel they move at their own pace online and prefer it.
