Airport
I'm not going anywhere. Sometimes I find myself in the late hours of the night waiting for a family member to come home, I'm the driver and I'm glad no one noticed I'm older than I ever was and still asking me to come pick them up at the airport at odd hours, it definitely keeps me younger.
I sort of like being at airports as it makes me think of happy, holiday trips taken in the past.
ReplyDeleteI like being there too.
ReplyDeleteAirports make me sad, too many goodbyes.
ReplyDeleteThis is true too, there is everything, sadness and joy.
ReplyDeleteIt's a fantastic looking airport.
ReplyDeleteI love airports too, going or just waiting. I like watching all the people on their way to somewhere
I always come early, have coffee and sit and watch.
DeleteI love the excitement of an airport; people going here and there, some happy and some sad. I also love the fact that 'the family' do not notice your age!! Just the fact you are there for them is what that cherish.
ReplyDeleteI'm always surprised at how much they don't notice my age.
DeleteHaha. I can relate. My neighbor asked me to both deliver and pick her up recently. The first time I was asked in years! It is not so easy these days to pick them up.
ReplyDeleteIt's always at odd times.
DeleteI'm always the one who's asked to do the airport run. To and from our nearby airport (one hour each way) I don't mind, but I refuse to go to Toulouse (three hours each way).
ReplyDeleteHere it is forty minutes from the airport and I am always surprised by how much traffic and how many people there are at night.
DeleteIt is a good feeling to be needed.
ReplyDeleteMost of the time.
ReplyDeleteI don't like airports these days. They used to be exciting, but now they are a combination of too exciting and boring.
ReplyDeleteIt's the only one I've been to for the last ten years, I've just been waiting there.
