It's not boring here. In the middle of my siesta I had to leap out of bed and think what I was doing when an alarm sounded. I had 45 seconds to get to the shelter outside the house. I just stood in the corridor waiting for 45 seconds. Everything is fine. 150 rockets from the morning.
Glad to hear you are safe Yael. I heard about the many rockets and thought about you.
ReplyDeleteThank you Rachel.
ReplyDeleteThat is so many rockets! I cannot imagine how you live with that constant danger.
ReplyDeleteI have no other place to go Sue,(it is now 200 rockets),You can not get use to it,TV is on and all the apps in my phone that tells me where are the alarms. Thank you for the comment Sue.
ReplyDeleteHell. saw those rockets shooting through the sky on tv news and thought of you. Cannot imagine living through 150 rockets, again and again. So glad you're ok. Hope you and your family are always safe
ReplyDeleteI heard about the rockets. It must be very worrying for you. May you and your family stay safe, Yael. We are all thinking of you.
ReplyDelete200 rockets...I can't imagine the stress of it all. Be well. x
ReplyDeleteThank you all, it helps a lot to know that there are people over there in the big world who care.It is after midnight and i am back from the air port, had to bring a visitor, life goes on/ sirens too' right now.
ReplyDeleteIt was very close this time .
ReplyDeleteYael, I cannot imagine! It seems so trite to say "Stay safe!" As if. I wish I could fix it.
ReplyDeleteThank you Joanne, every positive comment is helpful.
DeleteI would hate what you have to live through Yael. Keep safe! Getting out of bed and into a shelter within seconds ... Yikes!!But counting the strikes and no knowing when they will end must be frightening.
ReplyDeleteThere is no shelter in my house Shirley, I just stand in my small corridor in my small house and wait.Thank you Shirley.
DeleteUnfortunately he is not the only one.
ReplyDelete650 rockets.
ReplyDeleteIt really is about time the 'real' Palestinians rose up, and booted out those evil Hamas people. Only then could peace exist.
ReplyDeleteYou're right, sometimes I get to talk to some of them, simple and good people, like us, it's only the leadership that makes it seem that the solution is very far away.
ReplyDeleteWhat rockets are you talking about?
ReplyDeleteRockets that can kill you if you get them close enough. They are also full of metal marbles so that if only the shrapnel hurts you, your situation is very bad, they are sent from Gaza at surprising times.I live 50 km from Gaza so I have a minute to find shelter, my grandchildren are closer, they have 30 seconds. If you asked about a particular type of missile, I think some of them were cornet, there were 700 missiles.
ReplyDeleteI was in Israel in 2017 and it was quiet then, Its a very beautiful country.
