  2. The majority of people in this country enjoy Christmas without thinking about religion at all. Nothing wrong with that. It is a time for giving, being friends, good neighbours, and having fun.

  3. Either celebrate all, or celebrate none. Your daughter is right.

  4. I think people are a mix of everything above. Celebrate Christmas, or Hanuka, or any other belief that appears. Party. Make special food. Eat, talk, drink, enjoy.

  5. I wish I could see the Hanuka celebrations you have. I've never personally known a Jewish person (except you, Yael!) because they're rare in this part of the US. I would love to know more about your religion and culture! :)

  6. Thank you Jennifer, i am so glad to read that:), we are not roligious family, and don't keep many holidays as the religion, but we celebrate as we like. Hanuka is a holiday of candles, we lit one every day until we have eight candlaes, and eat a lot of donuts.

  13. We have a Christmas tree, but we only put it up when we found out our kids were coming for the holidays. We don't do lights outside and all that because there is no one out here in the woods to see them.....
