When i go to get my son from the airport it is always after midnight.I always come too early so i have the time to sit and wonder about some unimportant things like the helium balloons on the ceiling. I wonder if there are other places in the world that the arrivales are welcomed by helium balloons.
It looks very relaxing. We have all day and all night eating and drinking at London Stansted, no balloons.
ReplyDeleteIt is a quiet airport at nights.
DeleteThat looks like a very nice airport - compared to ours.
ReplyDeleteIt is our only international airport, and it is nice.
DeleteTel Aviv? I have two favourite airports - Bremen in Germany and Denver in the USA. My least favourite is the ghastly hell-hole of Schipol.
DeleteYes Tel-Aviv,i have been several times at Schipol and wish i shall start travel again before i 'll be realy too old for that.
DeleteHe will not talk to me if i come with balloons.
ReplyDeleteThat comment was for Rachel:)
DeleteSometimes boys are no fun at all are they!
DeleteI think next year he will live in Europe, for him i hope he will.
DeleteLess travelling for him.
DeleteI was thinking of the unhappy youngsters who lost their balloons.
ReplyDeleteI saw that even old people get the balloons.
ReplyDeleteTwo weeks ago I was waiting at Athens International airport for my brother. No balloons on the ceiling there, and I did not even have flowers for him. One little boy was standing with flowers for his mother. So nice!
ReplyDeleteI like airports. We were far too early and had lots of time for coffee. Airports are not the safest place anymore. We saw soldiers with machine guns but they were not frightening, only made me feel safer
I like waiting at the airport because i am not traveling any more and it is a little bit like traveling for me.
ReplyDeleteBalloons are nice for arrivals. I like arrivals but departures are too sad for me.
ReplyDeleteI posted once how they get them down, it is funny, may be i shall do it again soon.
DeleteEvery balloon a declaration of love
ReplyDeleteYou've asked for a post here is one with my pefect English.

DeleteThe balloons make for a cheery reception!
ReplyDeleteIs it every where?
DeleteOur local airport, which I'm getting to know extremely well (I shall go again this week) is just a few sheds. No balloons!
ReplyDeleteI wish it was a small airport, it is hard to remember where i've parked each time, take us some minutes to find my car.
ReplyDeleteThe balloons look oh so welcoming. Your airport is quiet in the middle of the night ... most airports are so busy they feel impersonal.
ReplyDeleteI always wonder why it is so quiet.
DeleteI like the idea of meeting someone at the airport with helium balloons. It is not something I have seen happen in U.S. airports, although I'm sure it must from time to time.
ReplyDeleteI have never done it but i see a lot of people here do.
DeleteI hate going to the airport in Atlanta, Georgia. It's the only big airport in the state so that's where you have to go to pick up people. It's crowded and noisy.
ReplyDeleteI have to do it from time to time ,it is always after midnight so no problem for me.
ReplyDeleteAirports are always so interesting to me, people from all over coming and going. Neat things to look at. I'd love to get balloons on arrival!!
ReplyDeleteI also love airports, i wish i was more often at some of them.
DeleteHello Yael, no balloons in airports here but it would be lovely to see them.
ReplyDeleteGreetings Maria xx
Maria, i am so happy to see you here, this is one of the happiest days. Thank you for letting me know that you are back.
ReplyDeleteI'll work very hard to stay here :) thank you Yael xxx
DeleteI thought about you a lot, Maria. Not only me, a lot of people here in blogland missed you.
