Edmund the cat makes me feel a little bit sad so i try to look at the bright side of life. My daughter is riding again and loves it like she always did.My grandson played 51 games of chess , he won 12 and lost in the rest but was very happy."I am learning how to stay calm when i lose" he told me.
A fine daughter and a grandson who is growing up a fine young man.
ReplyDeleteHe is 8 now, he is not so calm when he loses games but working on it.Thank you Rachel.
DeleteI wish I could stay calm when I lose.
ReplyDeleteMe too.
DeleteHow much better for the grandchildren to have 'decent' pastimes ... much better than forever texting.
ReplyDeleteI could never understand Chess so I take my hat off to your grandson.
Neighbours have horses and I am learning to get close to them ... I had never had any contact with horses so it is a learning curve for me; a lovely learning curve.
I also don't undersatand chess and that is why he asks me to play with him every time, i just make mooves that i don't understand and always lose.I am afraid of horses too.
DeleteI love that he is trying to learn to stay calm when he loses, and then continues to play.
ReplyDeleteHe loves chess so much.
DeleteI am not a good Chess player, but I did run a Chess Club at my youngest son's junior school in the UK, and also founded the Chess Club at my own old school. It teaches logic and strategy; both of which are essential.
ReplyDeleteThat's why i am so glad that he likes the game so much.
DeleteWhat a beautiful picture of your daughter on the horse; the colours and the sea is stunning.
ReplyDeleteYour grandson has the real sportsman's spirit.
I wish Edmund to recover well.
Greetings Maria x
Thank you Maria,i also hope Edmund will be ok soon.
DeleteThe picture of the horse and rider is beautiful. Lovely colours. I wish your grandson could teach my grandson to be calm when things don't go to his liking! Yours sounds like a sensible young man. Mine is only 4 so I guess there is hope yet! I hope that Edmund gets better soon. X
