Homage to Cro

This is what is going right now in my yard. It is going all over the place for weeks. As if i don't have other things to worry about, now i am afraid that the house will collapse. I just realised that all our fears are a story that the mind is telling us, we are the creators of the story, the readers of it and  viewers of the pictures that the mind draw while we visualise the story of our fears, I  shall try to create happier stories from now on.
My house did not collapse and the orange monster just went away.

  1. This reminds me of my recent post, the Simple things, where I talked about not worrying about things because they would probably never happen and your comment that you would try to stop worrying. I am pleased you have started by writing this post.

  2. I remember your post and thought about it a lot Rachel. All my worries are about my children who are not childs any more, about their future and happiness which i can not change or help sometimes.

  3. We all, especially those of us who have children and grandchildren are experts at 'seeing the worst' when in all likelihood it will not happen. A line or two from a song of yesterday ... Don't worry, be happy. But it is in the dark hours after midnight that our imaginations take over.

    2. Sorry, i thought you was asking about my children. The machines are puting new wires in the ground all over the place here.

  5. That's an intimidating machine. What were they doing?

  6. They did not do any thing wrong, just the hard life that we have here, or elswhere, Joanne.

  7. I hope they are not searching for minharot.
May your house and your courage stand strong.

    1. No minharot here, thank god...I keep hearing from army people that the war will start again in the summer, so who knows.

  9. I feel for you. I've had three big machines here recently, and I think another will turn-up any day to do some work on a roof. The machines themselves are usually very efficient, but they leave behind deep ruts in the lawns, and loads of mess.

  11. At first I thought I was on Cro's blog. Noise and mess can be nerve racking.
No matter how old our children are, we "mammas" always consider them children and will always worry, even if there is nothing to worry about. We forget they can take care of themselves as we did of ourselves....It's a wheel that goes round, Yael. It does help to keep positive. Take care. Greeting Maria xx

    2. My son, Maria, cherished the hilarious book "Manuale per difendersi dalla mamma" by Gianni Monduzzzi - in very young years, I have to say... (you understand my slight displeasure when you see the German title-'translation': "O Mamma Mia - If Mothers Love Too Much", subtitle: 'It is easier to escape the hate of the Ayatollah as the love of one's mother' - Sulman Rushdie...)

  14. The mind is a big creator - and I found out that you can intensify in both directions - fear or hope. 'Drama queen' always has to pay for it, though of course it is exciting for a while.
As Mark Twain put it so nicely: “I've had a lot of worries in my life, most of which never happened.”
