more of the same

I don't remember if it the day 46 or 49 of this war.
I talked with some of my friends who are grandmothers too
and found out that they feel what I feel. We are tiered and sad.
Of course there are people here that suffer more, so we should be happy with what we have.
Last Saturday we played for a couple of hours in between we have to go to the sheltered room 3 times.
than I drove home those 35 minutes and came home to the sirens here.

  1. Such a terrible way to have to live your life. I think about you often and hope that you and your family will be safe.

  3. Yeah, it's only 3:00 pm and Israel has already had 80 rockets and mortars.
It's Day 49. Glad you made it home safely.
I had to go out today, to town, with my neighbor to help her with her twin babies. Thank God there were no sirens here in that time!

Your little ones have some great toys.

  4. I feel for you and all the grandmothers Yael, but I think deep down I feel more for the children whose childhood playtimes are blighted by this war. There must be no time when you can really relax.
    Stay safe!

  5. It seems as if nothing has changed. Hamas fire missiles; Israel responds. The European press are losing interest; ISIS is more depressing, so more written about.
