50 DAYS

50  days of war are over. I think some of us suffer from PTSD.
There is a relief, but we are very careful.
There were several wars here, but sense of life threatening was stronger than ever this time.
Some of us paid personal price in past wars, including I, but this time the sense of helplessness
leaves you exhausted when the sounds of the sirens are over.
Each war brings new element that we did not experienced before.
It is a good thing to repress the thoughts about the next time.

  1. For someone who thinks she does not have good English, you certainly composed a profound and touching summary of our situation, Yael.

  2. I hope things are quiet for a while. Perhaps the one good thing that came from it is that they spent most, if not all their rockets. No doubt they will try and get more, but perhaps better control can be imposed on what goes in to Gaza now that the Muslim Brotherhood is no longer in control of Egypt. I fear that so long as the culture there does not change, it is only a powder keg ready to explode again. I do find interesting the new alliances that have developed from this recent conflict. This article does gives me some hope:

  6. If the peoples around Israel paid as much attention to their own countries as the Israelis do, they would find that life would be much more pleasant. We are all hoping that peace will now last.

I can't imagine how it must be for you and your family to keep going.
Looks like your cat is taking it easy. Hope you can too.
