  1. Delicious. Grass and mud tastes so much better when it is prepared by children.

  5. Your grandchildren are very happy children. Also, it is so nice that they can walk barefeet in your beautiful garden! Will you please ask the beautiful hair little girl what's on the menu for tonight? :)

  8. When I was a little girl, my grandmother had a garden, too. And I vaguely remember making mud pies and grass soup when I was very young.

What nice things your blog posts help me to remember! Thank you, Yael.

    2. They won't lose interest. Grandmothers are special. The one I mentioned passed away when I was only 19 years old and I still miss her so much. She lives on in my heart.

  11. You are lucky to be able to spend so much time with them, Yael. I have two granddaughters who live in Colorado (I am in Massachusetts) whom I only see twice a year. Fortunately I have a new one nearby and I'm not going to let her get away. Enjoy! even though it can be hard work!

  13. Lovely photos Yael. What was your job before you retired? My 2 grand children live 5 miles away, but I see them only randomly, when I am needed to babysit. They are both at school/pre school now, so I am not needed much in the day.
