The psychology of hatred

Why do someone starts hating somebody else ? What is the moment that the name of a COUNTRY, RELIGION or ORIGIN starts to ring all the bells of hatred in someones else ears and sol?
Is it one moment or many moments of bad education and bad life circumstances?
How come that the hatred is so strong that it spreads like spider web and touches and hurts everybody else who talk to the object of hatred?
How miserable one can be? how much fun can you really get if you are motivated mostly by negative emotions? can one live a happy and healthy life if most of the time he is insulting people in the virtual world?
How coward one can be ? not presenting himself with his real name and identity?Where does his real life and virtual life meet? there must be a place in his real life that all those negativism take place too.

  1. I would totally agree with you if Tom was my real name, Yael. Seriously, I very much feel for you in your part of the world. I am so lucky not to have the worries that you must have.

Are you being bothered by a real troll?

    1. You have a blog, Tom, you write you share, you are real, and it does not mind if tom is not your real name, I wrote this post because i was worrying more about the people who are being insulted because they comment here.I don't realy mind the trolls, i have enough woeeies here so trolls are nothing.

  2. Sadly some folk find hatred easier to administer than love and respect ... and it is those folk that make the world a scary place. Yael, while I acknowledge that 'trolls' can make one feel negative ... that is what he/she hopes! The world would be so much a nicer place if we tolerated each other and our little idiosyncrasies, and our race and religion. Bigots must be such sad lonely people!!

  5. If only certain 'authorities' would instruct their people to sweep their streets, or grow flowers, rather than 'go and stab someone'. I'm sure that everyone would then live a more happy and fulfilling life.

  6. You are right Cro, but this time i was talking about people who come from very clean and tiedy streets in thr real world to the streets of blogland and throw their rubbish in those "streets".

  9. I think that all of the hatred goes way back, in most cases at least, and is instilled in the people involved. Adults should instead be educating their children to be far more peaceful and reconciliatory, instead of teaching them that they must hate. Hopefully one day we shall see the Israeli walls come down, and both sides embrace one another with true compassion.

    5. Please do not give Mia more a platform. I am mocked and taunted by Mia more on an almost daily basis. So are others already this morning. There is no blog of Mia more. Why do you think that is.. Ask yourselves some questions before you give Mia more a platform.

  12. Thanks for raising this issue, Yael. That took real courage. There is a small complaint box in the bottom right corner when you are signed into your blog. I strongly recommend that people who are being bothered by the unpleasant and disturbing behavior of trolls repeatedly complain about it to blogspot until they provide us with a setting that allows us to block specific commentators.

  13. Those trolls are changing their names from time to time so it will be imposible, untill we get their ip, and we shall.

  14. Sadly a lot of people get a perverse pleasure from causing others pain and distress. Many trolls are just trying to get a reaction so best thing is just to ignore them and not respond to any nasty or vicious comments.

  17. This weed calling himself/herself Mia showed up on my blog. I finally got rid of her/him/it by just using comment moderation and simply deleting anything that originated with that individual. You are not obligated to give air time to morons. If you put comment moderation in, and never let them post anything ,ever, you will eventually get rid of them.

I also found that putting word verification on the blog got rid of the 200 some odd bits of spam I got ever day. You know the kind " your blog is so wonderful, feel free to visit my blog at goatropers.com"

  24. I got the usual contact call too. When I checked I found s/he has no blog. Must be some kind of hobby I suppose.
Incidentally I've had worse ones. In the end I clicked a complaint button somewhere and they never came back.
