election day

Today is the election day and those are all the letters that we have to choose from.We have a very bad system here with all the small parties that comes and go and that why we have election every 2 years . We should have less small parties here .
Yesterday we visited a near by farm .There are some new born animals there that my granddaughter loves and they love her.
Today can be a life changing day or not. We like to think that we can control most of the things, but I think that there are so many things that we can not so it does not really matter who will win today.(as long as America is on our side:)).

  1. Love the photos of your grand daughter and the animals ... isn't it great they adore her!! Maybe she is a vet. in the making.
Elections and politics ...wish the world could live without all that politicking ... and changes of mind once they are in power.

  4. Unfortunately the current US administration is not acting in the best interest of Israel and middle east peace, and have made it quite obvious that they are more than willing to throw Israel to the wolves just to sign a treaty, any treaty with Iran regardless of consequences. To that end they have funded the opposition party in Israel to defeat Netanyahu. At the same time our emperor Narcissus here refused to meet with Netanyahu claiming he was trying to be impartial regarding the elections in Israel.

    1. Is this the consequence of having a president named Hussein?

    2. Could be. We only have to live with his antics for a short while longer. Of course, there's always Hillary lurking in the wings. God help us if she gets elected, no one else will be able to.

  5. You are so right Michael , I hope we will not be thrown to the wolves...

  7. I am astonished why a democracy like Israel votes for a blood licking guy named Netanyahu. Is the fear factor governing this country ? Not good at all, young Israelis are leaving the country , they are just fed up.You will never get peace with Netanyahu. What a pity.

    1. Yes you are right, but so many people were hoping for a changing. Your country deserves a better government .

  9. Obama is biting nails in half because Netanyahu won. He was hoping for a more Neville Chamberlain like prime minister that he could bully into making concessions to the Arabs while getting nothing concrete in return.

If ever a country needed a strong personality for it's leader, it's Israel.

I know you may not feel that way Yael, but it would be hard to find anyone I agreed with all the time! ;- )

    2. It won't be your Prime Minister's fault , and if there is damage it will only be between the Washington elites and the Israeli government. The average rural citizen in the U.S. has strong ties to Israel, largely through religious connections. Awareness of the threat Israel faces has been much more prevalent here since 9-11. Israel has to be careful about placing too much faith in any foreign government though. First the British turned against Israel, despite the Balfour declaration. Then the French were Israeli allies until the Arabs put the oil squeeze on them. Now our elites here are Islamophiles , and that bodes ill, at least for the rest of Obama's term. But the Republicans tend to be staunch supporters of Israel, and they control the House and Senate now, so there's good news as well.

Israel has demonstrated an amazing ability to take care of itself, but it's a tiny country surrounded by a sea of people who hate it. For what it's worth, the middle class in the U.S. largely supports Israel.

Yael, I like your blog. We may not be on the same wave length about every single thing, but overall I think we are in agreement on the big things.

  13. Yael , I'm astonished that you like Flashman's blog. I read a bit and noticed that he has quite racist opinions against migrants , calling them useless persons, collecting weapons and defending things I really cannot understand. You seemed to me an open-minded woman. There are good and bad persons all over the world.and this absolute protectionism H. Flashman requires is just an horror vision to me.
    Shalom Sara

  15. Sara if you want to say anything to Harry you can say it in his blog. I trust him . I know that you was here during our war in the summer and saw how cruel bloggland was, I needed than people like Harry, and there were only few of them.I dont know who you are but i know that harry ia a real person that i can trust.

  16. Oh, I'm sorry but I'm a real person too. In summer I reacted , that's true especially against M. Silvius who is on the same range as H. Flashman. I did not critizise Israelis but the government and you will see that Netanyahu will bring desaster again to Israel. He is obsessed by security only and the daily life gets harder and harder. People start to get poor , non employment etc. Netanyahu doesn't care. I hope that you will not be disappointed. I will not annoy you anymore and wish you all the best.
    Sara

  22. I dont uhderstand you "sara miller", you are like a person who comes to someboy's house and insult the host all the time, you also go and look after his freinds and insult them in their houses, just because they visited here.what makes you so hateful?

    ReplyDelete
  23. You expose your life on a blog . Sometimes I can agree , sometimes not. I'm not hateful.and I certainly do not consider your blog as your house ! I am just not agreeing with racists you call your friends only because they support Israel. This is ridiculous.

  24. I can not remember a positive comment of yours Sara. I did not see you here before june when you came with your freinds the anonymous aron and the rest. and you went to people who commented here and left agressive comments on their blogs. Most of us came here to enjoy, to learn new things about other places and to share what we like to share, you always critcising and looking for the bad and dark side of the world and the worst that you are chasing people just because they commented here, this is also some kind of racism.
