forgiving

It was early in the morning in our small supermarket
People are buying round halla for Yom Kippur. In few hours many of us will start the big fast until tomorrow evening.  Yom Kippur Is about forgiving and praying to be forgiven. I am not religious so I get a little beat confused about this day. But any way the feeling is in the air because there is no TV, no cars in the streets, no radio, no public transportation. Every thing is so quiet for one day. .

  1. Enjoy the silence of the day, Yael. Shabbat shalom and gmar chatima tova. May we have a painless fast.
I am about to shut down the computer until tomorrow night. Not easy.

  3. This fast day sounds like a wonderful time for the soul to regenerate without interference from the daily rabble of life that tends to over-take us.

  4. I like the idea of a calm and frenzy-free day, it gives us time to reflect on the important things in life. Best wishes.

  5. A lot of children all over the country take the oprtunity to ride their bycicles in the streets so it became an happy day for them.
