day 19

Yesterday was more of the same day. I drove those 40 km to the grand kids with fear and thoughts
and planing where to stop if I here the siren. If I am on the road I have to stop on the side, turn off the car and lay in the field holding my arms on my head.Thank god it was a quiet day.

Now it is cease fire for 12 hours. We will see.

  1. If you don't go to visit the grandchildren you are in essence giving in to this war. I hope the ceasefire lasts the designated 12 hours ... if only reason prevailed it could be for much longer. I am guessing that by laying on the ground with your hands on your head helps in not seeing what is going or above ... you are a brave grand mother!!
    Stay safe!

  3. I have recently discovered your blog via another that I read . I am also a grandmother( in England ) so I feel for you and what you are having to go through. I have no interest in politics, and don't really know what is going on in your area, but I wish the killing would stop. Why can't humans get on with each other? I send my love and best wishes to you and your family, and my hopes that peace will come soon. X ps. I volunteer at Oxfam here, and one of my colleagues is from Israel, and I often try and help her with her english ! She is called Nava and is a lovely lady.

  8. Let's hope this present ceasefire is the beginning of the end. But how one will ever get Hamas to stop firing those missiles, I really don't know.
