DAY 24

i am sad and tired.sad and tired because some of the blogs I read by mistake. It is so easy to express opinion against Israel if one relies only on what he / she see in TV .
How would every body react if there would be missiles shooting on his town? What Israel is supposed to do if the Hamas don't want to end the firing and using those poor people of Gaza as Human Shields?
Why is that that only Israel provides Gaza's electricity, food, cellular and more.. No other Arab country cars about them.
It is so easy to live in England or USA and posting things against Israel without knowing what the reality is here.Just imagine rockets falling on London or New York? what would you expect your Government to do??

day 19

Yesterday was more of the same day. I drove those 40 km to the grand kids with fear and thoughts
and planing where to stop if I here the siren. If I am on the road I have to stop on the side, turn off the car and lay in the field holding my arms on my head.Thank god it was a quiet day.

Now it is cease fire for 12 hours. We will see.

war diary- day 16

It is late and I am tiered but I know that there are some people in the world who really care, so I just let you know that I am still here.
I went to see my grand kids again today . We had to enter the protected room in their house only once,We played a few minutes outside but it was too hot and too scary. The youngest grand kid who is almost 2 saw
a tank in the TV and said this is a space ship..they do not watch much news and it is good.

war diary-day 15

20,000 people attended yesterday the funeral of Sean Carmeli, 21, a lone soldier who was killed in a clash with the Hamas in Gaza.
Sean grew up in Texas but decided to come back to Israel and to serve in the Army.
A soccer fan called people threw Facebook to attend the funeral because he knew that Sean has no family in Israel.
It was almost Midnight and all those 20.000 people were very quiet and sad. There were Jewish, Arabs, people from all over the country.

war diary- day 14

I saw that there is a siren where my daughter lives. I waited 10 minutes in order to let her be safe
in her shelter and then phoned her. She told me that there is a siren in my area.Soon I hared the siren.
I ran to the bomb shelter, waited 10 minutes came back and wrote some comment on my blog,Than took the dog for a short walk praying for silent until she will finished what she had to do.
my bomb shelter

Edmund the cat

I have more time at home now so I keep company to Edmund the cat  who needs people around him most of the time.
Edmund does not drink water from the bowl. He put his leg in the water and drinks from his leg.
A week ago we saved him from a snake bite and for him it was the first time to get a ride in my car. He behaved OK.

war diary- day 13

More of the same. I stay at home reading blogs hearing TV in the background.

I have Red Alert siren in my IPhone application and I noticed today that the Bedouin villages were added
to that application, When there is an alarm siren in the Negev they get the Red alert siren too.And there were a lot of Red Alert for the Bedouin today. There are many UN-recognized Bedouin villages in the Negev. They are not protected got hurt by missiles during this war.

My English is very dull. I know. I  wish i could say more but I don't have enough words. But it is important for
me to say here what i have to say.

war diary- day 12

I can here the bombs or the rockets or what it is. It is getting closer again after a relatively
quiet day,
And I did it- early in the morning I went like a brave grandmother to visit my young grand kids.I came back home in one piece and I am so glad.
It was a day of dinosaurs and Bob the builder and Lily the fairytale.
Now I here in the news that rockets are falling on the road which I took in the morning and on my way back.

war diary- day 11

Most of the time the war is in my  head.Should I take a shower in the morning when it is still quiet
or in the evenings when the missiles alarms are more often.
The TV is going on and on but the eye is on the left corner of the screen where you can see if there are missiles alarms and where exactly they are.
Usually I go to help with the 3 small gran kids several times a week but now I must be very brave or stupid
to drive those 30 km. It is unbelievable but that it is.

war diary- day 10

I started this blog because I wanted to improve my English. Now i write because I am so afraid.
Last night at 02.00 there was the sierne. I had to run in the middle of the night to the bomb shelter and so did my neighbours with their small  kids.
The dog is also very scared but i cannot take her with me because i have only 60 seconds to get to the shelter and it is too complicated to make her go with the leash.I stayed at home with her the first days because of Thad but than I realized that there are some people in the world that still need me to help them. So I can not be heart by a missile in the middle of the night.

war diary- day 6

The ambulances will replace the siren into ice cream truck's siren, in order not to confuse
the anxious people here after 6 days of sirens.
And what the real ice cream trucks will

In the innocent  image here you see a 2 year little grandson entering home.
Actually it is 2 years little grandson running to the protected room in the house when we hared the siren.
he had 45 seconds to arrive to the room before the missile explode.

bomb shelter

I don't have a real shelter where I can hide in the evenings while the alarm
is going on and on.So I stand in the corridor at my house and count the seconds
until I hear the BOOM. then I go out and look at the dark sky and wonder how long it will last.

numbers (or grandmother in israel)

If you live 40 km from Gaza you have 60 seconds to find a shelter.
if you live closer you have 15 20 or 30 minutes.
I had 60 seconds last evening when i heared the alarm.
my grand kids,2, 4. 5, years old, had 20 minutes last evening.
4 or 5 missiles near their house.
I am 65 and so tiered of wars.
